The recipe for our Sambal Hot Sauce flourished during a trip to Indonesia, where we learned how to make an essential condiment that spices local everyday lives. With this hot sauce, we would like to honour Indonesian culture and the richness of its flavors. We brought flavours and memories back with us, and our Sambal Hot Sauce represents our authentic interpretation. Our Sambal Hot Sauce is made by slowly fermenting red chilis for over a month, adding a base of roasted tomatoes with macadamia nuts, lemongrass, ginger, and kefir lime. Use it naturally for any Indonesian dish, as a base for any aromatic dish, as a side to add hotness and aroma to your soup, or in a curry stew.
